Centaur Digital Corp ("Centaur," "we," "us," "our") is an accounting and tax preparation firm operating on a virtual-first basis, with offices in Jacksonville, FL and Gilbert, AZ. We serve US-based small business owners.
2. What this policy covers
This Privacy Policy covers information we collect through our website at centaurdigitalcorp.com and related communications. Our ongoing engagements with clients are additionally governed by a signed engagement letter and our Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act ("GLBA") financial privacy notice, which takes precedence for information collected in the course of delivering professional services.

- Name, business name, email address, phone number
- Business description, entity type, rough revenue band, and tax situation you include in a consultation request
- Financial information you voluntarily submit during onboarding or services (tax documents, bank statements, bookkeeping records)
- Any other information you choose to share with us
3.2 Information collected automatically
- IP address, approximate location, browser type, and device information
- Pages visited, time on site, and referring URL
- Cookie and similar identifier data (see Section 7)
3.3 Information from third parties
We may receive information from referral partners, professional networks (e.g., LinkedIn), or review platforms where you have interacted with us.

5. Third parties we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, and only to the extent necessary. These include:
- Google Workspace, business email, calendar, and document storage
- TaxDome, our secure client portal for document exchange and engagement management
- QuickBooks Online (Intuit), for bookkeeping, used for clients who elect bookkeeping services
- Gusto, for payroll services, used for clients who elect payroll services
- JustWorks, for clients using a Professional Employer Organization
- Google Analytics, for anonymized website analytics
- InMotion Hosting, our website hosting provider
- Our professional advisors (e.g., counsel, insurers, auditors) as needed
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights, or in connection with a merger or sale of the business.
We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. How we protect your information
We maintain reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect personal and financial information against unauthorized access, disclosure, or misuse. This includes encrypted file transfer through TaxDome, access-controlled systems, and vendor agreements with our service providers. No system is 100% secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
7. Cookies and tracking technologies
Our website uses cookies and similar technologies to:

- Remember your preferences
You can disable cookies through your browser settings. Doing so may limit some features of the site. We do not currently respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals, as no universal standard exists.

8.1 California residents (CCPA / CPRA)
California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act and California Privacy Rights Act, including the right to request a copy of the specific personal information we have collected, and the right to limit use of sensitive personal information.
8.2 How to exercise your rights
Email us at contact@centaurdigitalcorp.com with the subject line "Privacy Request." We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling the request. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law.
9. Data retention
We retain personal and financial information for as long as necessary to provide our services, meet legal and regulatory obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Tax records and supporting documentation are retained in accordance with IRS and state tax authority guidelines. You may request deletion of information not subject to retention requirements per Section 8.
10. Children's privacy
Our services are directed to business owners and are not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
11. International users
Our services are offered to US residents. If you access this site from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, which may have different data-protection laws than your country of residence.
12. Links to other sites
This site may link to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites. Review their privacy policies before providing personal information.
13. GLBA notice, financial information
As a provider of tax preparation and accounting services, certain information we collect is subject to the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act. We do not share nonpublic personal information with non-affiliated third parties except as permitted by law (for example, to process transactions you request, or to comply with legal or regulatory requirements). A separate GLBA privacy notice is provided to clients at the start of an engagement.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the site and, where appropriate, via email to active clients.
